Authentic Assessment

This training focuses on methods for collecting information about children’s developmental progress in the context of their natural environments, activities & daily routines, and also provides the opportunity for hands-on practice in using authentic methods. This training does not concentrate on administration of specific tools, but will provide the basic skills needed to gather information about young children when using any of the approved instruments.

Beyond Fundamentals

A variety of “train-the-trainer” sessions offer early care and education trainers an opportunity for a more in-depth exploration of topics covered in FET. During each module, you will (1) explore new concepts, (2) learn new training strategies/methods, and (3) apply what you learn to your own training plans. Each session varies in length, and some sessions include pre-assignments.
